If you want security, fun and easy going tips to learn how to surf, try this lesson. Tamarindo and the surrounding area is one of the most popular destinations for surfing in Costa Rica. Long sandy beaches and warm water create an ideal environment for experienced as well as beginner surfers.
To learn how to surf all you need is the ability to swim and a good sense of humor. Lessons last two hours and include an introductory on-beach instruction where you will learn the basic surfing techniques, as well as safety and etiquette.
Once in the water, the instructor will guide you until you feel confident. The instructors guarantee that you will be able to stand up on your surfboard and ride your first wave in your first class.
It is highly recommended to wear a bathing suit and sun block.
