Even though some media channels have announced that the national park could reopen soon, SINAC (the administrator for the national parks and other protected natural areas) has confirmed that this will not be possible. The park has to comply first with several security requirements established by the National Emergency Commission, such as the construction of shelters and the training of personnel, before receiving visitors again
