Jaco is the first beach with universal accessibility in Central America

This Central Pacific beach, well known for important surf competitions, has become the first beach in the country and in Central America to have a 63-meter-long ramp (206.70 ft.) that allows wheelchair access to the shore.

The ramp was built with wood and recycled plastic and required the recollection of 840 kilograms (1851 pounds) of plastic caps and 521 kilograms (1148 pounds) of plastic bags
