With its 119 meters of height, Tortuguero hill is an ancient volcano and the highest point of this region. From the highest point it is possible to have great views of the rainforest, the canals, lagoons and the Caribbean Sea.
The hike is a beautiful experience that lasts about 2 hours and it is suggested for physically active people due to humidity and average temperature of Tortuguero.
The access to the hill was officially opened on June 8th and now, the tour can be booked at an additional cost in some lodges in the area such as Manatus Hotel and Laguna Lodge.
