Central Pacific Jaco & Herradura
Rainforest Villa Lapas Hotel is located in the pacific coast of Costa Rica, at only 45 minutes from San José and not far away from the busting beach-towns of Jacó, Herradura, Playa Hermosa (a longtime favorite spot with surfers) and the marvelous Manuel Antonio beaches and the National Park. The hotel features 58 rooms surrounded by tropical gardens sitting in the midst of a private 500 acre rainforest reserve, with a beautiful river flowing alongside the property.
Each room features air conditioning and ceiling fan, safety deposit box, telephone, LCD television, hair dryer and two queen-size beds of one king-size bed. There is a replica of an old costarican town, Santa Lucia, where there is a restaurant with capacity for over 300 persons, a Cantina (bar) with karaoke and a dance floor and two large souvenir stores. Featuring a colonial style, the Santa Lucía Church is located by the side of the town’s lake. With authentic, ancient colonial elements, this Church is the perfect setting to celebrate spectacular weddings and other social events! Villa Lapa is also a good option for bird watchers.
There are plenty species to observe in the property, including the beautiful Scarlet Macaw, the yellow-billed Cotinga and the Black-hooded Antshrike. In addition, Carara National Park, one of the biggest protected areas in the Costa Rican Pacific, featuring one of the few remaining populations of Scarlet Macaws in the country and the famous Tarcoles River, home of many crocodiles are not far away from the hotel. Other services include swimming pool, Jacuzzi, table games and parking lot.
