Caribbean Puerto Viejo
Between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo, on the Southern Caribbean coast, Shawandha Lodge is connected to the nearby white sand Chiquita Beach by a short private path. The hotel features 13 spacious wooden bungalows, constructed with an artistic mixture of wood and ceramics, with palm roofs and terrace; each one with its own individual character and atmosphere.
All rooms have ceiling fan, hair dryer, safe deposit box and hammocks. The restaurant offers a combination of topical and French flavors. Besides relaxing on the swimming pool, guests can also visit Cahuita National Park or Gandoca Manzanillo National Park, glide over the coral reffs in a glass bottom boat, do horseback riding, snorkeling, kayaking, visit an indigenous community, a butterfly farm or a botanical garden, just to mention a few of the many possible activities in the area.
