Caribbean Tortuguero
Laguna Lodge is located in Tortuguero, one of the most important nesting site for the green sea turtle in the Caribbean coast, on a narrow strip of land, between the ocean and the Tortuguero Lagoon. Its 80 comfortable rooms have ceiling fans, reading lamps, a safety deposit box and large walkways.
The hotel offers an open-air restaurant by the lagoon, a bar near the swimming pool area, a small conference room, a souvenir shop, a pool with hydro-massage waterfalls, huts with hammocks, a botanical garden, a butterfly garden, private trails and direct access to the beach. Laguna Lodge offers two or three day packages including transportation from San Jose, all meals, naturalist guides, tours to the Tortuguero National Park canals, visit to the village of Tortuguero and to the information center of the Caribbean Conservation Corporation.
