For bird enthusiasts this area is a natural treasure. Birds that are commonly seen include tanagers, hummingbirds, macaws, toucans, manikins, hawks, robins, flycatchers, and woodpeckers.
As well, a variety of migratory birds visit the area at designated times throughout the year, such as the osprey. And, of course there is always a chance of observing the famous morpho butterfly, monkeys and other animals.
